The Copper Beech Inn, renowned for its intimate New England style and refined elegance, announced that Executive Chef Tyler Anderson will prepare an elegant dish at Connecticut Farmland Trust's (CFT's) Celebration of Connecticut Farms held Sunday, September 12, 12:00 to 4:30 pm at Laurel Ridge Farm in Litchfield.

Connecticut Farmland Trust was established in 2002 as the only private statewide conservation organization solely dedicated to protecting Connecticut's farmland. Through agricultural easements CFT has assisted its partners in the conservation of Connecticut's working farms.

This CFT annual event, named "the hottest food event in the state" by Connecticut Magazine, is Connecticut's first and largest eco-friendly food and wine event, and will be hosted by Connecticut Public Radio personality Faith Middleton, celebrity chef Jacques Pépin, and Tony Award-winning actress Christine Baranski. In support of farmland preservation in Connecticut, the state's finest chefs, including Chef Anderson, will supply inventive dishes incorporating Connecticut-grown ingredients for a superb dining experience.

"I am passionate about creating dishes that utilize native ingredients and locally grown and harvested products. This amazing event is my way of supporting the farms that support my cuisine, and I am honored to have been invited." - Chef Anderson, Copper Beech Inn

Aside from gourmet food and local wines, guests are invited to dance to live music, bid the silent auction, and tour a thriving family farm in the heart of the Litchfield Hills. Sponsorships and tickets for the event are available on the Connecticut Farmland Trust's website or by calling (860) 247-0202.

The Copper Beech Inn is an intimate country hotel situated in the hamlet of Ivoryton within the historic town of Essex on the Connecticut River. A designated AAA Four-Diamond Copper Beech restaurant and the chic, casual Brasserie Pip offer innovative culinary choices, created by Chef Anderson, each evening beginning at 5pm.
