On Friday, August 20 through Sunday August 22, Executive Chef Tyler Anderson of The Copper Beech Inn in Ivoryton,CT will headline, among other celebrity chefs, at the annual Newport Winefest. Along with hundreds of premium wines, craft beers and specialty spirits, innovative cuisine from Chef Anderson will be a weekend-long feature. This highly acclaimed event, held at the Newport Yachting Center overlooking the marina and harbor, draws people from all over New England as the region's largest outdoor wine and food festival.

Festivities are structured by daily Grand Tastings, a Waterfront Grand Cru Tasting on Saturday, and a Chefs and Champagne Brunch on Sunday, where Chef Anderson will appear and showcase his superb cuisine and cooking style as one of five premier chefs collaborating on the event. Anderson will also take part in daily food demonstrations highlighted by complimentary tastings, and will host two distinguished VIP parties located on Newport's famous cliffs, a setting that will surely compliment his delectable gourmet dishes.

Chef Anderson's invitation to the Newport Winefest follows his recent visit to The Balsams Resort in New Hampshire as a guest chef in their seasonal series, and a trip to the White House as part of First Lady, Michelle Obama's Let's Move campaign to fight childhood obesity. Named a New England rising star chef, and winner of Food Network's Chopped, Chef Anderson's culinary approach will be a welcome addition at the Newport Winefest.

Chef Anderson's cuisine is available nightly from 5PM at The Copper Beech Inn's restaurants, including the renowned AAA Four-Diamond Copper Beech Restaurant and Brasserie Pip a hip, casual dining experience.
