Tickets are on sale now for the Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens second annual fundraising event “arbor-eating at the Bartlett”

The Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens will host their second annual fundraising event “arbor-eating at the Bartlett” on Saturday, September 13, 2008 at 5 PM. "Arbor-eating at the Bartlett” gala is a luscious outdoor celebration of local restaurant fare and fine wines on the exquisite grounds of the Bartlett Arboretum & Gardens. Held each year in early fall, “arbor-eating at the Bartlett” blends an elegant yet casual atmosphere in an exquisite setting, with the colorful and majestic Bartlett trees providing an enchanting backdrop to the evening gala. Over 18 of the finest area restaurants, wine merchants and markets will participate in the event that attracts over 400 guests to the Arboretum.

“Arbor-eating” event chairs are Karen Wilder, Patricia Eggert and Robin Selden, and committee members are drawn from Stamford and the surrounding communities. The event committee is organizing an evening of music, dancing, a raffle, and spectacular auctions items including: a week on Cape Cod Bay, weekend at the New York Palace, brunch at Blue Hills, and much more. The evening will honor Stamford resident and past President of the Bartlett Arboretum Association, Dr. Stuart Danoff for his love, commitment and generosity to the Arboretum.
