Stamford, CT - The AmeriCares Free Clinic of Stamford now stops at the Boys & Girls Club at 347 Stillwater Avenue, Wednesdays from 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. The mobile clinic is on the road three days a week, providing primary care services to low-income Stamford and Darien residents without health insurance. The clinic also stops at two other Stamford locations, Neighbors Link on Selleck Street on Tuesdays and Domus on Lockwood Avenue on Thursdays.
The clinic, which launched in January, provides medications, lab work and diagnostic testing all at no cost to patients. It is the only free clinic in Stamford where nearly one out of every five residents is uninsured. AmeriCares operates the largest free clinic network in the state with four locations serving 3,000 Fairfield County residents.
