Greenwich, CT - This September, Arthur Murray Grande Ballroom of Greenwich will introduce its Healthy Living special event series with Diane Smith, co-author of the NY TIMES bestseller, Obsessed: America’s Food Addiction – And My Own. Diane Smith is an Emmy award-winning TV journalist, radio talk show host, and author of many books. The book was co-written with Smith’s dear friend, Mika Brzezinski, co-host of MSNBC’s Morning Joe, and the author of the New York Times bestsellers All Things at Once and Knowing Your Value.
The free event will take place at the Arthur Murray Grande Ballroom of Greenwich, 6 Lewis Street, Greenwich, CT at 6 pm on September 25, 2013 and is a benefit for the Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County. Christine Georgopulo, owner, Arthur Murray Grande Ballroom of Greenwich requests that all who attend bring donations of non-perishable food. “Arthur Murray’s philosophy is that dance can make a difference in your life and the lives of others. We are honored to host Diane Smith and this free event for the community. Giving back to one of my favorite organizations, The Food Bank of Fairfield County makes it all the more meaningful,” states Georgopulo.
In OBSESSED, Diane Smith and Mika Brzezinski launch us into a no-holds-barred conversation with family and friends in schools and kitchens, in Congress and the food industry, to help us all find ways to tackle one of the biggest problems standing between us and a healthier America.
Diane Smith will be discussing her own journey of weight loss and America’s need to be educated about the power food industry has over the choices we make about food and our eating patterns. Copies of Obsessed: America’s Food Addiction – And My Own will be available for purchase. A portion of the sales will be donated to The Food Bank of Lower Fairfield County.
