In an effort to create a world free of Multiple Sclerosis, Highgrove hosted a fund-raiser for the Connecticut Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society on Thursday, Jan. 29. The event was held at the community’s Sales and Design Center, located at 992 Summer Street in Stamford, Conn.

The cocktail reception fund-raiser featured distinguished speakers James Amann, speaker of the house for the State of Connecticut, and Dr. Fred D. Lublin, the Saunders Family professor of neurology at Mount Sinai School of Medicine and director of the Corinne Goldsmith Dickinson Center for Multiple Sclerosis at Mount Sinai.

“At Highgrove, we believe it’s important to support organizations working in our community and were deeply touched by the efforts of the Connecticut Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society to find a cure for this debilitating disease,” stated Jason Schlesinger, principal of Highgrove owner Ceebraid-Signal. “The cocktail reception on Jan. 29 was an opportunity for members of the greater Stamford community to socialize while raising money for one of Connecticut’s most worthy causes.”

In addition to the distinguished speakers that were on hand, the event featured an informal fashion show by Valentino-trained designer D. Lasprogata.

The National Multiple Sclerosis Society is a collective of passionate individuals that helps people affected by MS by funding cutting-edge research, driving change through advocacy, facilitating professional education, and providing programs and services that help people with MS and their families move their lives forward.

In addition to this event, the National Multiple Sclerosis Society’s Connecticut Chapter will hold its 2009 “March Into Spring Women Against MS” luncheon on April 23 at Greenwich Country Club. For more information, contact www.ctfightsms.org.

Designed by Robert A.M. Stern Architects, Highgrove consists of 92 elegantly appointed residences, three guest suites and 230 indoor valet parking spaces. The development is the first luxury residential condominium to be developed in Stamford’s downtown and has played host for several community events over the past year, including art auctions, jewelry previews and cultural seminars.

The high-rise recently reached its full height of 18 stories. With this construction milestone met, delivery of homes is scheduled for Fall 2009.

The condominium is a joint venture project between real estate development firm Ceebraid-Signal Corp. and the New York-based real estate investment arm of Investcorp International.

The Highgrove Sales Center is located at 992 Summer Street, Stamford, CT. To schedule a private appointment to meet with a member of Highgrove’s experienced sales team, call 203-323-9990.
