Drama, cartooning, Play Day and library Snapshot Day February 18

The Kids are out of school -- come join the fun at The Stew Leonard III Children's Library of the South Norwalk Branch Library. The programs scheduled for South Norwalk Branch Library on February 18, along with the special Snapshot Day at both libraries are:

Acting Out with Ms. Karen: Ms. Karen and Chester, her trunk full of innovative costumes, puppets, and props set the stage to bring stories to life for pre-school and elementary school students at the South Norwalk Branch Library, Thursday, February 18th, 3:00 – 4:00 p.m. Ms. Karen and many audience members will act out the story The Little Circus Train. This interactive creative dramatics program will educate and entertain while everyone shines like a star! Call 203 899-2790 x3 to register. People are asked not to register by voicemail.

Award-winning syndicated cartoonist Jerry Craft will be at the South Norwalk Branch Library on Thursday, February 18th , 11:00 am to Noon, for a cartooning workshop. Mr. Craft will share his experiences as a professional cartoonist and illustrator with children in grades 5 – 8. He will reveal the secrets behind creating his Mama's Boyz comic strip and teach children how he creates his children's books from start to finish. Thereafter, he will provide step-by-step instruction to show children how to use simple shapes to create their own cool comic book characters. Call 203 899-2790 x3 to register. People are asked not to register by voicemail.

The popular COME AND PLAY GAME DAY is also on February 18 from 12:00 – 3:00 pm No Registration Required except admission is a Norwalk Public Library System Receipt stating that participants have checked out a book within the past two weeks of the Thursday attended.
