NEW BRITAIN, CT - On Thursday, Congresswoman Elizabeth Esty (CT-5) announced that her office helped return a total of $873,790 to 5th District constituents from federal and state government agencies and financial institutions during Fiscal Year 2013. The savings include tax refunds, Social Security benefits, veterans’ benefits, and Medicare payments. Esty took office on January 3, 2013. Fiscal Year 2013 ended on September 30, 2013.
“One of the greatest honors and responsibilities I have is providing quality constituent services to the people who call the 41 cities and towns of the 5th District home,” Esty said. “I’m proud of the work my office has done to help families throughout our district cut through bureaucracy and recover the funds they’re owed. Whether ensuring our veterans get the benefits they’ve earned in service to our country, securing our seniors rightful Social Security benefits, or assisting folks with other issues they face with a federal agency, my office is here to serve. I urge constituents to continue to reach out to my office if we can be helpful in any way.”
Constituents can contact Esty’s district office by email at esty.house.gov/contact, by phone at 860-223-8412, or by mail and in person at 114 West Main St, Suite #206, New Britain, CT 06051.
