Norwalk, CT - Fairfield County’s Community Foundation and Domestic Violence Crisis Center (DVCC) will reap the rewards of the greatly anticipated opening of Fairfield County’s very own Nordstrom in Norwalk, CT. The highly-esteemed retailer graciously selected these organizations as the recipients of all proceeds from ticket sales, while they generously underwrite the entire cost of what promises to be a spectacular and elegant event. While fashion promises to abound, Nordstrom will also provide the attendees with a chance to learn more about the critical work these organizations are doing in Fairfield County.

“I want to take this opportunity to thank Nordstrom for selecting Fairfield County’s Community Foundation to be a recipient of their generosity before they have even opened their doors. It is a wonderful feeling to be recognized by such an admirable company that has a passion for being part of the community where they do business. We are honored and looking forward to a fabulous event,” stated Juanita James, Fairfield County’s Community Foundation President and CEO.

Nordstrom is not only opening a new full-line retail store in Norwalk, CT. It is making an investment in the local community which is integral to its corporate philosophy and an important part of how it does business. Party guests will be among the first to exclusively preview the new store while enjoying cocktails, gourmet delights, desserts, entertainment, fashion presentations and an opportunity to shop the season’s best looks. Men’s and women’s fashion presentations will rotate throughout the evening highlighting new styles for the fall season.

“The Domestic Violence Crisis Center is thrilled to be a community partner to Nordstrom as they expand their retail business to lower Fairfield County, as well as co-beneficiary of the ‘Nordstrom Night Out’ Event,” said Boardie Kurz, Development Director, DVCC. “Domestic violence is an issue that crosses all socio-economic, racial and gender barriers. The services we provide are lifelines for many of our clients. We are grateful for the support of Nordstrom and look forward to a fantastic evening.”

Tickets are $100 per person and are available for purchase at www.nordstromrsvp.com/Norwalk. For additional information, customers can also email rsvp@nordstrom.com.
