Blocks of Love, a family-oriented fundraiser that offers a LEGO Expo, play booths, a creation gallery, fashion show, holiday shopping and l Master LEGO models, is set for Roger Ludlowe High School in Fairfield Nov. 19 (Saturday), 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Anyone can become involved by becoming a fundraising builder, donating gently used LEGO blocks, supporting a builder, volunteering to help run the day and attending with your family.
Register online go to www.cancercare.org/blocks. Like Us on Facebook, too. Once registered you can create your own customized fundraising page and ask family and friends to support you.
CancerCare provides free professional support services to anyone in Connecticut affected by cancer: people with cancer, caregivers, children, loved ones and the bereaved. CancerCare programs—including counseling, education, financial assistance and practical help—are provided by Master’s level oncology social workers and are completely free of charge.
Last year CancerCare helped more than 3,600 individuals in Connecticut and is the oldest and largest national non-profit dedicated to providing free professional support to those with cancer. CancerCare receives no government funding. Its free services are made possible by the support of foundations, corporations and individuals.
