Girls Incorporated of Southwestern Connecticut is proud to announce a series of programs and workshops sponsored by a $10,000 grant received from the Fairfield County Community Foundation. “Growing Together” is designed to open lines of communication and establish the skills to comfortably discuss subjects such as health, hygiene, anatomy and puberty for girls ages 9-12 and their mothers/female caregivers. These fun and interactive programs and workshops not only support parents and daughters with communication but also ensure that they keep talking throughout the challenging years of adolescence.
The Girls Inc. Growing Together Program is made possible through a grant from The Fairfield County Community Foundation. Girls Inc of Southwestern Connecticut will deliver three 8-week programs and 3 one-day workshops to girls and their parents/female caregivers throughout Fairfield County in Fairfield, Trumbull, Shelton, Greenwich, Bridgeport, and Darien.
The Fairfield County Community Foundation promotes the growth of community and regional philanthropy to improve the quality of life throughout Fairfield County.
