New Canaan, CT - The Tim Tebow Foundation once again selected Grace Community Church in New Canaan, collaborating with STAR, Inc., Lighting the Way, to be one of over 550 locations in sixteen countries to host simultaneously an unforgettable prom night for young adults with disabilities and their “buddy” peers. The event was Friday evening February 9 from 6-9 p.m. Over 114 Guests were crowned as kings and queens, supported by 127 of their peers and over 250 event volunteers for assignments including red carpet greeting, crowning ceremony, decorations, food & beverages, paparazzi, photography, parking, safety and more. Over 200 parents observed with broad smiles and glistening eyes as their young adults danced their hearts out and lived their prom dreams.
The non-denominational evening celebrated the unique value of every individual, with a focus on young adults with special needs ages 14-25. Prior to the crowning ceremony, the crowd enjoyed a pre-recorded inspirational message from the evening’s key founder and host, Tim Tebow that was shared worldwide.

The event was made possible by generous support from the Tim Tebow Foundation and generous donations from STAR, Inc., Prospect Hill Foundation, and The Thomas Family Foundation.
