This year’s event will highlight HealtheChildren’s expansion from an organization focused on providing health care to children in the developing world, to a mission that now includes education and vocational training. Currently HealtheChildren works with American and Ecuadorian organizations to provide basic health care, education and vocational training to children and families in rural Ecuador. In addition to hand made jewelry, Latin music, and food, donated by Le Chateau, this year’s fund raiser will also feature a dunk tank in which prominent local citizens, including Dr. David Pazer of Family Medical Associates, getting wet to support valuable model programs to change children’s lives. Ridgefielders, Doctor Patricia Jorquera owner of TLC Pediatrics, and husband, Jens Haerter, physician assistant at Family Medical Associates in Ridgefield, and Danbury Hospital, are available for interview regarding these unique programs based on transparency and self-sufficiency. About HealheChildren HealtheChildren is an organization dedicated to improving the physical, emotional and intellectual well-being of children in developing countries. The organization’s mission is to develop practical models of children’s health, education and vocational training that allow every child in emerging countries to achieve their true potential.
