Hike registration begins at 1:00 PM, and the hikes will start at 1:30 PM. They will probably range from about 2˝ hours (for the Nature Trail hike) to about 3˝ hours (for the most demanding hike). Wear comfortable, supportive shoes, and bring water and additional snacks if you wish. Out of consideration for the other hikers, please leave pets at home. All events of the day are free and open to the public. Tee shirts and other offerings from the Sleeping Giant Trading Post will be available for purchase. The entrance to the Sleeping Giant Park is just off Route 10 in northern Hamden, on Mt. Carmel Avenue, on the left, across from Quinnipiac University. Park in the Sleeping Giant Park lot (for a fee) or on the street, where permitted.
