Knights of Columbus - St. Matthew's Council presents donation to STAR

STAR, Inc., Lighting the Way… was the recent recipient of a $1,328 donation from the St. Matthew's Council #14360 of the Knights of Columbus, based in Norwalk. The funds were raised during the organization's recent Tootsie Roll drive.

Katie Banzhaf, Executive Director of STAR, said, "We are extremely grateful to the Knights of Columbus. They help STAR to provide needed services for individuals with developmental disabilities in Mid-Fairfield County."

STAR, Inc., Lighting the Way is a not–for-profit organization serving infants, children and adults with developmental disabilities, as well as providing support services to their families. We create opportunities for individuals to live full lives with independence, freedom of choice and personal growth by providing support, services and advocacy. We inform and encourage the community to recognize and appreciate the value of all individuals. The St. Matthew's Council of the Knights of Columbus is a fraternal organization of Catholic men dedicated to the church. They expend their energies toward making a difference in the community via service and charity. In pursuit of these objectives they promote family, fraternalism and faith.
