Leadership Greater Hartford announces 2012 Board of Directors

Leadership Greater Hartford announces its new officers and new members of its Board of Directors. Leadership Greater Hartford is a nonprofit organization that conducts leadership development programs for high school students through older adults. Its mission is to develop, connect and inspire diverse leaders to build strong and vibrant communities throughout Greater Hartford.

Elected to the position of Secretary is Christine Chaia, Assistant Vice President of Retirement Plans Group Marketing at The Hartford. Continuing in their positions are Dick Rogers, Board Chair, Senior Vice President, Human Resources at Connecticare, Inc, Ann R. Smith, Vice Chair, Attorney Ann R. Smith, LLC and Andrew Lattimer, Treasurer, a partner at BlumShapiro in West Hartford.

New members of the Board of Directors are:

Steven Adamowski, Special Master, Connecticut State Board of Education

· Gillian Barclay, Vice President – Programs, Aetna Foundation

· Wendy Carberg, Vice President - Operating Effectiveness, Cigna

· Jason Cirino, Senior Manager, Aetna

· Sue Davison, Director of Regional Major Gifts, University of Connecticut Foundation

· Christopher Duffy, Director - Management Information, Travelers

· Lisa McMahon, Director - Product Implementation, Lincoln Financial Group

· Natalie Mendes, Realtor, Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage

· Joseph Muro, Manager - Cooperative Advertising, CT1 Media

· Ira Yellen, President, First Experience Communications

Leadership Greater Hartford is one of the largest nonprofit community-based leadership organizations in the country. Our programs are designed to help people realize their leadership potential and inspire them to build strong, vibrant workplaces and communities throughout Greater Hartford. Leadership Greater Hartford also provides customized consulting, training and regional orientation programs for organizations throughout Greater Hartford and has served the community for more than 35 years.
