STAMFORD, CT - M&M Productions presents a live performance of Time Stands Still on Sunday, October 13 at 2 p.m. in the Main Library’s Third Floor Auditorium at Stamford's Ferguson Library, Bedford & Broad Streets, Stamford. Two wartime correspondents attempt to find healing, love and a sense of normalcy in this funny, yet rich drama from the brilliant Pulitzer Prize-winning playwright Donald Margulies. Directed by Larry Schneider.
The play focuses on Sarah, a photojournalist who has been recently injured and her overprotective partner, James, a freelance writer. James wants to settle into a life of normalcy, while Sarah finds herself torn between the boredom of healing, a lingering sense of guilt and the emotional needs of James. Walking into the middle of this drama are Sarah’s former lover, Richard, and his new girlfriend, Mandy. While Mandy’s shallow and provincial nature is stands out at first, her good heartedness turns out to be a rarity in Sarah and James’ Brooklyn apartment.
