HARTFORD, CT - Governor Dannel P. Malloy has ordered flags to half-staff in recognition of Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, observed on December 7, which honors the lives lost in the attack on Pearl Harbor in 1941.

“This is a day to reflect on one of the darkest moments in our nation’s history, and to honor the courage shown by our Armed Forces during the battle at Pearl Harbor and in World War II. Today is an opportunity to recognize these heroes and their bravery, and to recall the sacrifices they made on behalf of a grateful country,” said Governor Malloy.

Flags will fly at half staff from sunrise to sunset on Wednesday, December 7.
