While attending a recent U. S. Conference of Mayors meeting in Washington, D.C., Mayor Michael A. Pavia made official his support of the bipartisan coalition, “Mayor’s Against Illegal Guns”.

Mayor Pavia is attending the U.S.C.M. Annual Meeting January 24th through January 27th where the prevention of gun violence was one of the main topics of discussion. U.S. Senator Dianne Feinstein and Mayor Michael Bloomberg, co-chair of the Coalition “Mayors Against Illegal Guns”, served as guest speakers at the conference to Demand a Plan against gun violence.

Mayor Pavia had the opportunity to have one-on-one conversations regarding better gun control with Senator Feinstein, Mayor Bloomberg, and Stephen Barton, Outreach Associate for Mayors Against Illegal Guns.

“I am honored to have joined the coalition of “Mayors Against Illegal Guns” and am committed to working with the coalition of fellow Mayors to develop innovative ideas and policies and support legislation at the national, state and local levels that will help law enforcement remove illegal guns from our communities,” said Mayor Pavia.
