FCA President and CEO Rob Cashel received a generous donation from Minks to Sinks at the organization’s recent annual meeting. Presenting the gift are Minks to Sinks immediate past President Trish Weber and volunteer Nicole Meek, who has worked on 51 consecutive Minks to Sinks sales.
Minks to Sinks, the Wilton Auxiliary of Family & Children’s Agency (FCA) in Norwalk, continued a long tradition of supporting the agency with a recent donation of $80,000. The check was presented to Rob Cashel, FCA’s President and CEO, at the Minks to Sinks annual meeting in January.

In accepting the donation from Minks to Sinks, Mr. Cashel noted, “Minks to Sinks has always been such a strong champion of Family & Children’s Agency, and we truly appreciate their continuing support. We could not be where we are today, doing everything we do for our communities, without Minks to Sinks.”

Trish Weber, Chairman of Minks to Sinks, commented, “On behalf of our volunteers, we are pleased to be able to support FCA’s commitment to enhancing the daily lives of people in our local communities.” Minks to Sinks makes a donation to FCA from the proceeds of each of its semi-annual sales in May and October. The next sale is scheduled for May 1 and 2.

Minks to Sinks has its roots in the first rummage sale organized by volunteers in Wilton in 1931. Today, the organization is staffed with about 200 volunteers from the community of Wilton, many of whom have been involved for over 30 years. Since 1973, Minks to Sinks has donated more than $2 million to FCA.

Family & Children’s Agency (FCA) is a non-profit family service organization meeting the needs of more than 10,000 individuals – including children, adults, and families – throughout Fairfield County. Skilled professionals serve clients in seven impact areas: youth development, family strengthening, foster care, adoption, behavioral health, homeless services, and services for seniors. For every dollar donated to FCA, 89 cents goes directly to help clients in these program areas.
