The annual Model Ts to Mustangs antique and classic car display returns to the Stamford Museum & Nature Center on Saturday, May 7, from 11 am to 3 pm featuring American and import cars manufactured between 1900 and 1979. This year, the special section will focus on the Cadillac, a storied American brand whose origins date back to 1902. General Motors’ Cadillac is among the most famous of the American makes and was designed to blend unsurpassed engineering with luxury.

Cadillac is currently the second oldest American automobile manufacturer behind Buick, which was showcased last year at the Model Ts to Mustangs show. The company’s most famous slogan was “Standard to the World,” and to this day, the word “Cadillac,” is synonymous with excellence. Some of the great Cadillacs scheduled to appear at Model Ts to Mustangs this year include a 1929 Cadillac 1183B, owned by Skip and Susan Tetz of Goshen, NY; a 1947 Cadillac 62 Convertible, owned by Ed Greenberg of Stamford, CT; a 1949 Cadillac 2-door Sedanette, owned by Andrew Benenson of Darien, CT; a 1957 Cadillac Eldorado Brougham, owned by Malcolm S. Pray, Jr. of Greenwich, CT; and a 1959 Cadillac Series 62 Convertible, owned by George and Toni Huse of Danbury, CT.

“We expect to see some exceptional cars this year in our ‘Focus Group’ section dedicated to the Cadillac,” said Rosa Portell, the Stamford Museum & Nature Center’s curator of collections and exhibitions. “Model Ts to Mustangs has a substantial number of repeat exhibitors, representing some of the best collections in our area, but every year we have new exhibitors, who bring extraordinary cars.”
