Mystic Seaport hosts 11th annual Antique Vehicle show
By Land and By Sea
By Land and By Sea, Antique Vehicles at Mystic Seaport has been expanded to a full weekend of activities, Saturday and Sunday, September 20-21.

From 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Saturday, preview Sunday’s main event and see 20 classic vehicles displayed on Museum grounds. Enjoy a riverside BBQ picnic buffet at 5 p.m. while celebrating a bygone era with a rousing band concert on the Village Green. By 7 p.m., all 130 of Sunday’s vehicles will have arrived to take part in the event’s first-ever gaslight antique car parade at dusk.

Validate your ticket Saturday and return for Sunday’s premier event free of charge. Throughout the day, view antique vehicles and speak with exhibitors who maintain these classics. Experience what it was like to ride in the newest mode of transportation in the 20th century as vehicle owners offer car rides near the L.A. Dutton. Purchase local produce at a 1920s-style open-air farmers’ market and recall an era when motor vehicles connected inland farms with coastal communities. At 3 p.m., watch as antique cars, trucks and motorcycles circle the Museum grounds in the event’s annual finale, the Grand Parade of Vehicles.

BBQ picnic tickets are $32 for adults ($30 for members) and $20 for children. Call 860.572.5331 to make reservations.

Mystic Seaport is the nation’s leading maritime museum.
