New Canaan, CT - Cathy Kangas, CEO and Founder of PRAI Beauty based in New Canaan, will pay adoption fees for any dog or cat at Adopt-A-Dog as a Valentine’s Day gift to the organization. Ms. Kangas, a member of the Board of Directors of The Humane Society of the United States and a long-time supporter of Adopt-A-Dog, believes that Valentine’s Day is a perfect time to find a pet that will provide unconditional love.

Anyone interested in finding a new pet should view the organization’s website www.adopt-a-dog.org which features all the animals. The shelter is located in Armonk, NY and arrangements to see the animals can be made by appointment by calling 914-273-1674 by Valentine’s Day, Thursday, February 14th.

Among the animals available for adoption are Rusty, a male three-year-ld Chow/Shepherd Mix, Katie, a 13 year old Shepherd/Husky mix and Winnie, an energetic pit bull mix, who would be great in home with older children. There are also five cats available for adoption including Edie, a beautiful domestic long hair, whose owner was forced to give her up because of economic hardships.

“I have five rescue dogs and applaud the work that Allyson Halm, the director of Adopt-A-Dog, does to find the best home for all the animals in her care. Through the philanthropic division of my company, Beauty with a Cause, I will pay any fees associated with adopting an animal this Valentine’s Day. This day is all about sharing and celebrating love and what better way to do this than giving an animal a new home,” said Cathy Kangas.

Adopt-A-Dog has served the Connecticut/New York community for more than three decades and has been particularly successful in placing older dogs and cats that, through no fault of their own, find themselves alone in the world.

“Cathy knows firsthand what joy a rescue dog can bring to a home. We are grateful for her continued support of Adopt-A-Dog and hope that through her generosity some of our animals will find a new home on Valentine’s Day,” said Allyson Halm. President of Adopt-A-Dog.
