STAMFORD, CT - Much is in store at Stamford Town Center this year, with several more top-name retailers and a popular eatery in the works. Opening June 21 in Stamford Downtown’s lively urban marketplace is A/X Armani Exchange. The popular store joins a full list of new stores, including Aerosoles, Clarks, Bare Escentuals, Call It Spring and Plan B Burger Bar.

One of the world’s leading fashion brands debuting at Stamford Town Center is A/X Armani Exchange, the youthful label from Italian designer and entrepreneur Giorgio Armani. A/X Armani Exchange is accessible Armani, inspired by street-chic culture, fashionable dance music and everything that signifies freedom and personal style. With Armani Exchange, the classic and sensual Armani style is reinterpreted to create a casual yet sophisticated style for the young, urban and sexy. The store opens on Level 4 overlooking the Grand Court and features fashion and lifestyle products including apparel, accessories, eyewear, watches, jewelry and music.

Those unwilling to sacrifice style for comfort will welcome the new Aerosoles on Level 4 near Macy’s. Since pioneering the concept of comfortable style in 1987, Aerosoles has helped millions of women feel as great as they look. The recipe for success is a combination of great style, unique details, cushioned footbeds, flexible rubber and diamond-patterned soles. With more than 20 years’ experience designing shoes, Aerosoles’ core values remain the same – comfort, style, quality and value.

Recently opened at Stamford Town Center in April is Clarks on Level 5. A pioneer in the concept of comfort footwear, family-owned Clarks has a heritage of designing and manufacturing uniquely styled, top-quality footwear dating back to 1825. From careerwear to weekend wear, Clarks provides men and women with comfortable, stylish footwear for nearly every occasion in their active lives. The new store features women’s and men’s shoes, handbags, belts and shoe care products from some of the brand’s best names, including Clarks, Clarks Originals, Bostonian, Privo, Indigo and more.

Another store to open recently is Bare Escentuals, creator of the award-winning bareMinerals. The new stand-alone boutique augments the 161 existing Bare Escentuals boutiques across the country and more than 30 planned for 2011. Bare Escentuals at Stamford Town Center features the award-winning bareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation; a complete assortment of bareMinerals Eyecolors, Blushes and 100% Natural Lipcolors; and the recently launched revolutionary bareMinerals Skincare. Additionally, bareMinerals is free of any preservatives, fillers or binders and represents the ideal mix of makeup and skincare – problem-solving cosmetics that perfect and pamper the complexion. The new boutique is located on Level 5, off Grand Court.

And just in time for the new season is the newly opened Call It Spring, specializing in high-quality fashion footwear, leather goods and accessories. This sought-after brand pays close attention to detail and fine craftsmanship. Call It Spring is dedicated to providing both quality and cutting-edge trends at affordable prices, season after season. Call It Spring's dedicated team of buyers and stylists travel the globe to keep the pulse of fashion. Whether the latest footwear trends are breaking in London, Milan, Paris, New York or Tokyo, Call It Spring will have them. Located on Level 4, Plaza Wing.

Shoppers seeking a hot new dining spot can soon check out Plan B Burger Bar, the popular upscale eatery for the beer and burger connoisseur. Stamford Town Center is the first Southern Fairfield County location for this fast-growing chain known for its high-quality, American comfort food, great beer selection and neighborhood-bar atmosphere. All beef is certified natural and humane and is ground on site, meaning the bodacious burgers are served up fresh, with green fries – fried green beans – or any number of creative sides. Scrumptious salads, appetizers and entrees, an extensive selection of American craft beers and the largest collection of boutique bourbons in the state make Plan B Burger Bar a must-visit when it opens in the Outdoor Plaza this fall.

“We’re excited to welcome these fashionable and fun offerings,” says Stamford Town Center Marketing & Sponsorship Director Jim Zielinski. “All are great additions to our lively and continuously expanding lineup.”

Stamford Town Center, with Saks Fifth Avenue, Macy’s and 130 other fine stores, is located at Exit 8 off I-95, at the intersection of Tresser and Greyrock in the heart of Stamford Downtown. Shopping hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Sit-down restaurants located in the new Plaza wing have extended operating hours.
