At the August 20th commission meeting the following candidates received grants: Bruce Zalaski, Ryan Suerth, Michele Mount, Nitzy Cohen, Karen Jarmoc, Mary Ann Handley, Sherri Vogt, Mary Ann Carson, Lawrence Cafero, Nicolas Creed, and Robert Kane. As of August 20th there are 248 candidates who intend to participate in the Program. The deadline for submitting an Affidavit of Intent to Abide by Program Requirements is September 25th. The deadline to apply for a grant is October 10th. The Commission has encouraged applicants to apply early to avoid missing critical deadlines which would result in failure to qualify for a General Election grant. Since the program was launched June 3, 2008, 21 candidates for State Senator and 90 candidates for State Representative have received grants from the Citizens' Election Program. © Copyright by StamfordPlus.com.
