NORWALK, CT - Stepping Stones believes learning shouldn’t stop just because the school year ends. The children’s museum offers summer camp programs that not only encourage fun and creativity, but help ensure young children remain engaged in the learning process. Dinosaurs, robots and astronomy are just a few of the exciting themes campers can explore each week at Stepping Stones in Norwalk.

“The goal is to give more school-age children an enriching summer experience in an effort to avoid the ‘summer slide’ that can happen when there is a gap in structured learning,” said Rhonda Kiest, CEO and President of Stepping Stones.

The summer camp program for children ages 5 – 8 years old runs Monday through Friday, starting June 19th. Half-day sessions are from 9:00 am – noon and full-day are 8:30 am – 3:30 pm.
The schedule and weekly themes are:
June 19 – 23 Art and Movement
June 26 – June 30 Museum Theatrics
July 3 – 7 NO CAMP
July 10 – 14 Animation Station: Dinosaur Drama
July 17 – 21 Coding and Robotics
July 24 – 28 Animation Station: Fairies, Dragons and Wizards
July 31 – August 4 NO CAMP
August 7 – 11 NO CAMP
August 14 – 18 Astronomy Full Day Full Day

Full-time, part time and daily camp programs are available. Call to learn more about pricing, and discounts for siblings and multiple week discounts. Register by May 15th and get a free Stepping Stones canvas tote bag!

Stepping Stones also offers field trips for camp groups for grades K-5. Field trips to Stepping Stones are always a hit! Campers enrolled in other programs can explore award-winning, hands-on exhibits and programs designed to ignite a love of learning through play facilitated by a museum guide.
