Rizzuto’s Wood-Fired Kitchen & Bar has expanded its operations, opening a third restaurant in Connecticut at 540 Riverside Avenue in Westport. The 6,000 square-foot restaurant offers an array of options with a 100-seat dining room, substantial bar area and private party accommodations for up to 30 guests.

Modeled after their existing establishments in West Hartford and Bethel, Rizzuto’s menu features a variety of classic Italian items, many of which are handcrafted and made fresh daily. The Westport location features an exhibition kitchen with Le Panyol Wood-Fired Oven, a fresh pasta pantry displaying the day’s freshly made pasta offerings, an antipasto station and an extensive raw bar.

Jessica Curtis, Associate of CB Richard Ellis’ Retail Services Group, Stamford, represented Rizzuto’s in its negotiations with the owner, Mill Pond Farms of Westport.

“The location at 540 Riverside was very desirable to Rizzuto’s for a number of reasons. Proximity to the train station, I-95, the beaches and of course, residential areas put this location at the top of our list. Since the space was previously occupied by a restaurant, Rizzuto’s could take advantage of the infrastructure already in place, making this a truly compelling opportunity we couldn’t pass up.”

"Rizzuto's concept is a great fit for Westport,” said the restaurant’s Owner Bill Rizzuto. “We are a family driven restaurant and the town's demographics were ideal. The space also offered us the room we needed to provide our guests with a unique dining experience. There are so many nuances to the property, such as a large patio, multiple dining areas, a large bar, display kitchen, private event space, and the wood-fired oven. We are very happy to be here."

Guests of Rizzuto’s can look forward to a dining experience that focuses on quality, value, and consistency, which Rizzuto’s has been synonymous for since opening its first restaurant in Bethel five years ago, and its second location in West Hartford in 2008.

540 Riverside Drive is located in the Saugatuck section of Westport, CT. The property provides convenient accessibility as it is situated less than half a mile from both I-95 and Metro North’s Westport Train Station.

Rizzuto’s Wood-fired Kitchen and Bar brings friends and family together over exceptional Italian cuisine that is prepared with the freshest of ingredients and great care. House made pasta, wood-fired Neapolitan pizza and artisan bread, domestic and imported antipasti favorites, free-range chicken, market fresh fish, and top grade meat share the stage with Rizzuto’s comfortable, lively atmosphere and genuine hospitality.
