Whether you’re an on-the-go woman in Greenwich or New York City, or a frontline soldier fighting halfway around the globe to protect our freedoms, you can’t become the B.E.S.T. that you can be without the appropriate information and tools. SFTT’s B.E.S.T. evening of ‘Beauty & Health 2010’ on December 1, 2009 at 5:30 pm in the Penthouse of the Roger Smith Hotel at Lexington Avenue at 48th Street in NYC aims to do both.

On December 1st, B.E.S.T. guests will hear from Dr. Neil A. Gordon, double board certified facial plastic surgeon and Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at Yale University School of Medicine, on “Putting Your Best Face Forward;” Certified Nutritionist Donna Pace of Pace Wellness & Nutrition in Westport, CT with pointers on “Stoked Personal Best Skin;” and Terry Rogers of Horseneck Wine & Liquor in Greenwich, CT who will celebrate “Women & Wine”.

The Roger Smith Hotel has generously donated their entire Penthouse for the event, so that all proceeds can be used by the Greenwich, CT based Soldiers for the Truth Foundation (SFTT) to pursue its unique educational and advocacy mission: to see that the Pentagon and our elected leaders in Washington get the right equipment for our US troops by giving a public voice to and providing a candid forum for America’s front-line forces. Unlike the many wonderful organizations working to help returning soldiers and veterans, only SFTT is single-mindedly focused on getting the Best available Equipment to Support the Troops before they deploy, the better to bring them home alive and in one piece.

The benefit is being hosted by SFTT’s B.E.S.T. committee members Helene Barre, Kathalynn Davis, Darrah Gleason, Shelly Tretter Lynch, Kim Meyerhoff, Laura Moore, Terry Rogers, Lonnee Star and SFTT co-founder and Chair Eilhys England Hackworth.

In addition to getting beauty and health information from experts in their fields, Guests will be treated to a wine tasting, sponsored by Horseneck Wine & Liquor and enjoy an international snack sampling, compliments of the Roger Smith Hotel.

Proceeds from the B.E.S.T. evening for Beauty and Health will help keep SFTT in the forefront as the voice and advocate for America’s front-line troops. SFTT is a non-partisan, apolitical 501(c)3 educational foundation that relies on funding from individuals, private foundations and volunteer-driven B.E.S.T. committee events.

Tickets are $100 and include a $100 raffle ticket for a Dr. Neil Gordon face lift. To attend the Dec. 1 event at the Roger Smith Hotel and support SFTT’s B.E.S.T. work, phone 203-629-0288 or email Maura at maura721@optonline.net.
