Kentucky Derby fans can cheer on their favorite horses while bidding on unique auction items at Derby Night at SoundWaters’ 13th Annual Tall Ships Ball. The annual fundraiser will take place at the Riverside Yacht Club on Saturday, May 3 at 5:00 p.m. All proceeds benefit SoundWaters’ education programs, which raise awareness for the protection of Long Island Sound. As part of the evening’s entertainment, patrons can bid on live and silent auctions featuring an array of Sound-inspired prizes, including: · Kickback on the Vineyard. A week’s stay at a great vacation house on Martha’s Vineyard , including a fishing trip aboard the boat of a local expert. · Cruise the Fjords. A Norwegian cruise for two on the Hurtigruten Cruise line; including airfare and limo service to and from your home to the airport. · Gift, Glamour and Glee. Shop at Richards on Greenwich Avenue with two $2,000 gift certificates in hand. With mint juleps in hand, attendees can also watch the 134th Kentucky Derby live on the big screen during the event’s festive cocktail hour, dine on gourmet cuisine and dance to live music.
