Speakers, entertainers, others take the stage at Unite Women CT Rally

Hartford, CT - Unite Women CT Rally coordinators Amanda Kaplan and Carolyn Stearns have announced the list of speakers and entertainers participating at the April 28th Rally in Bushnell Park.

"Our team of outreach volunteers have done tremendous work to contact and secure this stellar group of speakers for the event," says Stearns. "Connecticut is lucky to have so many outstanding people step forward to ensure our voices are heard."

"Hartford will be a hosting a fine selection of talented entertainers to enhance the event," points out Kaplan. "We will have lots of fun while we talk about the importance of women's rights and equality, and the need to participate in the election process that guarantees those rights."

* Connecticut’s First Lady, Cathy Malloy
* Teresa Younger, Permanent Commission on the Status of Women
* Pat Russo, The Women's Campaign School at Yale University

* Candida Flores, Family Life Education, Inc.
* Woody Bliss, Republican Majority for Choice
* Julie Belaga, Former EPA Dir. For Bush
* Yanil Teron, Center for Latino Progress
* Laura Cordes, Connecticut Sexual Assault Crisis Services
* Lt. Col. Michael Zacchea, USMC
* Reverend Debra Haffner, Religious Institute

Award winning Hartford Courant columnist Susan Campbell will be the Emcee for the Rally.
