STAMFORD, CT - Stamford Hospital has named Kari Pollak, who handles special events for the Stamford Hospital Foundation, as its 2011 Employee of the Year. She received the honor at Stamford Hospital's "Celebration of Achievement" event at the Greenwich Hyatt.
Pollak was one of almost 450 employees honored at the "Celebration of Achievement" event. Employees were recognized for milestone years of service, nightingale nursing award winners, physician recognition winners, and the Planetree caregiver of the year and physician champion of the year. In addition, each of the 12 employees of the month was acknowledged as well.
Pollak, of Stamford, was named the May employee of the month and was selected Employee of the Year among her fellow monthly winners.
"Throughout the year, Kari visibly lives our values of teamwork, integrity, compassion, respect and accountability and commitment to patient care," said Darryl McCormick, Senior Vice President, Talent and Culture. "She embodies the characteristics that make her well-respected by her peers, including great people skills, tireless energy and the ability to work well under pressure."
