This year, the special section will focus on the Cadillac, a storied American brand whose origins date back to 1902. General Motors’ Cadillac is among the most famous of the American makes and was designed to blend unsurpassed engineering with luxury. Cadillac is currently the second oldest American automobile manufacturer behind Buick, which was showcased last year at the Model Ts to Mustangs show. The company’s most famous slogan was “Standard to the World,” and to this day, the word “Cadillac,” is synonymous with excellence. Over the years, great Cadillacs have appeared in Model Ts to Mustangs, such as Ralph DeAngelis’ 1911 Model 30 Cadillac, and the 1947 Cadillac 62 Convertible exhibited by Ed Greenberg, both of Stamford.
Model Ts to Mustangs will be co-curated by David Greenberg, of Stamford, and Rosa Portell, the Museum’s curator of collections and exhibitions. Awards will be presented in several categories, including the popular “People’s Choice Award.” For more information, visit stamfordmuseum.org or call the curator’s office at 203.977.6543. The rain date for Model Ts to Mustangs is May 8.
