STAMFORD, CT - Paul A. Slager, a partner in the Stamford law firm of Silver Golub & Teitell LLP, was named one of the “Dozen Who Made a Difference” in the year-end issue of the Connecticut Law Tribune.

The honor is based on Slager’s legal efforts on behalf of the victims of traumatic brain injuries, and his active involvement with the Brain Injury Association of Connecticut (BIAC). His service to BIAC earned Slager the 2011 President’s Award, the highest honor given by BIAC for individuals who have demonstrated outstanding contributions to BIAC and the field of brain injury.

Slager said, “I’m honored to receive this recognition from the Connecticut Law Tribune. My work with clients who suffer from traumatic brain injury is an opportunity to make a difference for people who really need it. And I sincerely appreciate receiving the President’s Award from BIAC. My involvement with BIAC has been very rewarding and I look forward to continuing to serve the organization.”

Slager just completed a three year term as the President of BIAC’s Board of Directors (2008-2011), and previously was Vice President of its Board of Directors (2006-2008). He will continue serving as a Vice President with BIAC. BIAC is an independent non-profit organization dedicated to supporting individuals with brain injury, their families and caregivers, while increasing the community’s understanding of brain injury and its prevention. For more information about BIAC, visit www.biact.org.

Attorney Slager represents clients in a diverse range of complex civil litigation cases. One of his key areas of practice is traumatic and acquired brain injury and post-concussion syndrome. He has published articles and given presentations on brain injury, and is an active member of the Traumatic Brain Injury Litigation Group of the American Association for Justice. He is active in several professional organizations, such as the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association and the National Crime Victim Bar Association. He has been recognized for his accomplishments with a Martindale-Hubbell AV® Preeminent™ rating, and has been selected for inclusion in The Best Lawyers in America and Connecticut Super Lawyers.
