Norwalk, CT - It will be day of putts, pars and pitching in to put smiles on the faces of children when golf enthusiasts and supporters of Stepping Stones Museum for Children convene at The Stanwich Club in Greenwich on Thursday, October 3 to celebrate a special milestone. This year marks the tenth anniversary of the museum’s Swing Into It! Golf Tournament. In its nine year history, Swing Into It! has raised more than $500,000. Proceeds from the golf event benefit Open Arms, an initiative to ensure that the museum’s educational exhibits and programs are accessible to underserved communities in the region.
Swing Into It! features a savory luncheon followed by a round of golf on the esteemed Stanwich Club golf course, cocktails, buffet reception, raffle and silent auction. The fun day on the course begins with a shotgun start at 12:30 pm. Get your foursome together and help Stepping Stones raise money for this important cause.
The annual Swing Into It! Golf Tournament directly supports the Open Arms initiative created by Stepping Stones Museum for Children. The unique program makes it possible for every child, family and school to enjoy the museum’s exhibits, gallery activities and themed events regardless of any financial, language or special needs barriers. Reaching more than 60,000 children, caregivers and teachers throughout the region this year, the program offers monthly Get Into It! FREE evenings, parent workshops, free traveling exhibits for schools and numerous other educational, informational and learning experiences to inspire lifelong learning.
