On Friday, August 13 and Saturday, August 14, Executive Chef Tyler Anderson of The Copper Beech Inn in Ivoryton will take part in The Balsams Resort Fall Visiting Chef Series. The Balsams, an 8,000 acre premier North Country New Hampshire resort, was rated "One of the Top 50 Ski Resorts in North America" by Condé Nast, and has received Wine Spectator's "Award for Excellence" every year since 1994.

The event commences Friday evening with a welcome reception, followed Saturday with cooking demonstrations, a wine tasting and a seated dinner. The dinner, served in The Balsams dining room, will feature five courses prepared by Chef Anderson and The Balsams culinary team. Chef Anderson is one of seven chefs personally invited by The Balsams Executive Chef, Josh Berry for the fall series, and will be the first headlining chef of the season.

"It is an honor to receive this invitation from Chef Berry. I am looking forward to the weekend's line up of activities, as well as showcasing my cuisine and cooking style to the guests at the resort." - Chef Anderson

Chef Anderson's appearance at The Balsams is one of several exciting excursions this year, including a recent trip to the White House as a guest of First Lady, Michelle Obama. He will also be a featured chef at the upcoming Newport Wine Festival beginning August 20th, where he'll host two VIP parties, perform daily cooking demonstrations and serve Sunday brunch with five collaborating chefs.

Honored to cook at the James Beard House, named a New England rising star chef, and winner of Food Network's Chopped, Chef Anderson brings a modern approach to regional cooking using fresh, seasonal ingredients - a talent he will bestow to guests next weekend at The Balsams.

Chef Anderson's cuisine is available nightly from 5PM at The Copper Beech Inn's restaurants, including Brasserie Pip a hip, casual dining experience. The Inn accommodates both large and small groups for social and corporate events, weddings, holiday parties and private luncheons.
