Bridgeport, CT - On Thursday, April 10, The Watermark at 3030 Park invites its Parkinson’s Support Group members to a special off-site luncheon sponsored by Teva Neuroscience. This luncheon will be in place of The Watermark’s usual monthly support group meeting. The event will be held at 11:30 a.m. at Testo’s Restaurant, located at 175 Madison Avenue in Bridgeport. Seating is limited, and RSVPs are required by April 7th.
The guest speaker for the meeting will be Dr. David Russell, a neurologist at the Institute for Neurodegenerative Disorders in New Haven. He will discuss how to best manage Parkinson’s disease symptoms.
“We are excited to offer our Parkinson’s Support Group members the opportunity to participate in this special luncheon,” said Marlane Argianas, Resident Services Coordinator at The Watermark. “Our group members will be able to enjoy Dr. Russell’s lecture in a relaxed and comfortable setting, have lunch, and can ask him questions following his presentation.”
Space is extremely limited for this luncheon and RSVPs, including from those who regularly attend support group meetings, are required no later than Monday, April 7. To RSVP, please contact Marlane Argianas at The Watermark at 203-373-6288.
In addition to monthly Parkinson’s Support Group meetings, The Watermark also offers a bi-weekly Parkinson’s Fitness Class consisting of a warm-up, balance and strengthening exercises and a cool-down/stretch period. The class meets every Tuesday at 2:30 and Thursday (except April 10) at noon and is led by Cindy McGuire, Fitness Director at The Watermark.
Reservations are required for the fitness class and there is a small participation fee. For more information or to RSVP please contact Cindy McGuire at 203-373-6108.
