The Watermark at East Hill Kicks Off Classical Music Series

Southbury, CT - On Tuesday, February 19, The Watermark at East Hill will kick off the first of three performances as part of its Classical Music Series at the retirement community, located at 611 East Hill Road in Southbury.

The February 19 concert will feature a performance from The Hartington/Ladd Guitar Duo, a Connecticut-based guitar duo featuring Daniel Hartington and Christopher Ladd. The pair will be performing classical guitar music from composers such as Bach, York, Scarlatti and Assad.

The performance will take place from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. Light refreshments will be served.

“We are excited to offer our residents and guests the opportunity to enjoy an array of classical music performances,” said Michelle Bettigole, Executive Director at The Watermark at East Hill. “The Harrington/Ladd Guitar Duo are tremendous musicians and we look forward to their performance.” as well.”

On Tuesday, March 19, from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m., The Alturas Duo will perform, featuring flautist Melanie Chirignan, violist Carlos Boltes and guitarist Scott Hill. The group has performed across the globe and will feature a set of both classical and world music selections.

The Charter Oak Trio will perform a one-hour concert on Tuesday, April 23 from 2:00 to -3:00 p.m. The group, featuring violinist Rachael Virgin, violist Bethany Eby and cellist Leah Johnson, will perform works by standard classical and Broadway composers.

All three events are free and open to the public, however seating is limited. Guests must RSVP in advance by calling The Watermark at East Hill at 203-262-6868.
