Southbury, CT - On Tuesday, February 12, The Watermark at East Hill will host a Mardi Gras King Cake Party for prospective residents and their families, featuring a tour of the retirement community and a discussion on Life Care, one of Watermark’s most popular financial options for residents. The event is from 2 to3 p.m. at The Watermark at East Hill, located at 611 East Hill Road in Southbury.
Guests will have the opportunity to learn the history of Mardi Gras, including why plastic baby figurines are baked into cakes on King’s Day. King’s Day cupcakes will be provided, as well beads, masks and festive Mardi Gras music.
“For seniors and their families thinking about the next steps in their retirement, this is a great opportunity to not only tour our community, but to experience one of the many ways Watermark strives to provide our residents with fun and interactive activities to keep their minds and bodies active,” said Michelle Bettigole, Executive Director at The Watermark at East Hill. “We look forward to celebrating Mardi Gras with our guests, and to share information about our community.”
The event is free of charge and open to the public, however reservations are required. RSVP by February 8th by calling The Watermark at East Hill at 203-262-6868.
