Bridgeport Mayor Ganim Welcomes NCAA Women’s Basketball Teams and Fans to Bridgeport for Tournament Games

Bridgeport, CT – Bridgeport Mayor Joseph Ganim today is officially welcoming the four teams and thousands of fans of the NCAA Women’s Basketball Tournament coming to Bridgeport’s Webster Bank Arena Saturday, March 25 and Monday, March 27, 2017.

“We welcome all NCAA women’s basketball fans to Bridgeport for what will be exciting games for sure,” said Mayor Ganim. “Enjoy the downtown and all that our city has to offer if it’s your first time, or your first time back, we’re sure you’ll have a good experience, stop in to one of the restaurants for great food, visit the Arcade, or one of the many boutique retailers or galleries. There really is a lot to offer downtown. This will be a wonderful celebration of scholar athletes and great competition for everyone. We’re thrilled to be the host city.”

MPS Parking and the City of Bridgeport are also welcoming fans of the NCAA games with FREE PARKING. The meters will not be active on Saturday, March 25th, and will also be inactive from 4pm thru the evening on Monday, March 27th.

The following schedule of games will take place for the NCAA Women’s Basketball tournament Eastern Regional Finals at the Webster Bank Arena:

Saturday, March 25
11:36 am
Maryland vs. Oregon

Saturday, March 25
30 minutes after the buzzer from
Game #1. Estimated time 2:00 pm
UCONN vs. UCLA

Monday, March 27
7:00 pm
Winners of Saturday Games
