Bluefish, WGCH-AM announce broadcast agreement

Bridgeport, CT - The Bridgeport Bluefish today announced a radio partnership to broadcast all home games for the 2014 season on AM 1490 WGCH and live webcast through and This will be the second consecutive year Bluefish games will be broadcast on AM 1490 WGCH.

“We are very excited to continue this partnership and allow Bluefish fans to listen live to all of our homes games,” says Bluefish general manager Ken Shepard. “WGCH has been a great partner and is a very reputable station and having our games on their AM signal will help us expand our presence in Southern Connecticut.”

The Bridgeport Bluefish Broadcast Network’s team is headlined by JJ Duke. The Fairfield, CT native will be making his full season debut with the Bridgeport Bluefish in 2014 as Radio Broadcaster after serving as a radio color commentator in 2013. JJ graduated from Rider University in 2013 with a Bachelor's Degree in Digital Media Studies and minored in Business of Sport. At Rider, he was the Student General Manager of the school's Student Radio station and was the radio play-by-play voice for the school's baseball and softball teams. When not calling baseball games, you can find him covering soccer matches as he writes and is an editor of Our Game Magazine, a magazine dedicated to Women's Soccer.
