The Bluefish added a run in the top of the fifth inning after a solo homerun by left fielder Brandon Sing (23) for the 5-0 advantage.

The Patriots scored in the bottom of the seventh inning after catcher Travis Anderson singled and scored after left fielder Elliott Ayala hit into a fielder’s choice to make the score 5-1.

Bluefish starter Kyle Jackson (11-10) got the win after tossing seven scoreless innings and allowing only four hits. Patriots starter Jason Standridge (3-4) suffered the loss after allowing five earned runs on nine hits and six strikeouts in five innings pitched.
