Luis Lopez highlighted the eighth inning with his bases-clearing double to blow the game open. The Bluefish third baseman belted the first pitch he saw from Lancaster reliever Trevor Marcotte (0-1) into left-center field to give his team a 9-5 edge. Jesse Hoorelbeke also drilled an RBI double later in the inning to finish the night three-for-four with two doubles, two RBIs and two runs. Lopez finished two-for-three with two doubles and two runs to go along with his three RBIs. The Lancaster offense struggled until the later innings against Bluefish starter Barry Hertzler. Trailing by two runs in the seventh, David Castillo took Hertzler deep for his third home run of the season. The blast drove in Michael Campbell to knot the game at five. Castillo and Campbell (triple, RBI, run) both recorded two hits. Michael Woods also had a productive evening for the 'Stormers, going three-for-five with a triple and run scored. Franklin Perez (5-2) picked up the victory with a solid two innings of work in relief of Hertzler, striking out four. Marcotte gave up all six Bridgeport runs in the eighth inning to take the loss. The two teams will meet again tomorrow night in a 7:05 P.M. contest. Jordan Pals (0-1) will make his first home start in a Bluefish uniform and face Erik Dessau (0-1).
