Camden, NJ - The Bridgeport Bluefish defeated the Camden Riversharks 14-4 on Saturday evening at Campbell’s Field.

The Bluefish struck for six runs in the top of the first inning, highlighted by second baseman Ramon Castro’s RBI single and was followed up by a two-run single by designated hitter Cody Overbeck. Bridgeport scored four more runs in the fourth inning as center fielder James Simmons scored when right fielder Prentice Redman reached on an error, followed by a Castro two-run single and an RBI double by Overbeck. The Bluefish would score their final four runs of the night in the seventh inning after third baseman Sean Burroughs hit a 2-run single and would eventually come around to score on first baseman Luis Lopez’s two-run home run. Simmons finished the night going 4-5 with three runs scored while Castro and Overbeck each had three-hit efforts in the contest.
