The Road Warriors scored the first run of the night on a wild pitch by Diaz with the bases loaded, however, Bridgeport responded in the second. With runners at first and third, Luis Rodriguez launched his ninth homer of the season. The three-run drive to leftcenter gave the Bluefish a 3-1 lead. After the Rodriguez at-bat, Brandon Chaves walked and scored on a double to leftcenter by Prentice Redman. A bloop single to right by Andres Perez set up runners at the corners. After Perez stole a base, Wes Bankston hit a double down the left field line to give Bridgeport a 6-1 advantage.
The road squad scored two runs in the seventh. A two-out bases loaded walk by Danny Gonzalez followed by a hit-by-pitch to Josh Johnson got the Warriors within four. The Bluefish would have an answer in the seventh and put the game away. With the bases loaded, Brandon Chaves cleared the bases with a triple to rightcenter.
