First two added to Bluefish roster
The Bridgeport Bluefish today announced their first additions of the 2012 season, signing infielder Luis Lopez and pitcher Jorge Julio. Lopez will enter his fifth season as a member of the Bluefish, while Julio will return for his second campaign in the Park City.

Bluefish 2012 season schedule released
Bridgeport Bluefish team officials today announced the release of their schedule for the 2012 season. The 2012 schedule will include 140 contests and features 70 home games at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard. The Bluefish will begin their season at home with a four-game series against the Camden Riversharks on Thursday, April 26. Following the inaugural tilt against Camden, Bridgeport will wrap up their opening homestand with a three-game set against the cross-sound rival Long Island Ducks. The home schedule includes eleven weekend series.

Five Bluefish players named to postseason All Star Team
The Atlantic League of Professional Baseball today announced that Bridgeport Bluefish outfielder Steve Moss, infielders Wes Bankston and Andres Perez, and pitchers Paul Oseguera and Juan Rincon have been named to the 2011 Atlantic League Postseason All-Star Team. Moss and Bankston were honored on the First Team, while Perez, Oseguera, and Rincon were named to the Second Team.

Bridgeport Bluefish out of postseason
The Bridgeport Bluefish (36-28, 68-59) suffered a loss in the play-in game to the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs (29-30, 65-57) by a score of 9-4 on Tuesday night at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard. With the loss, the Bluefish have been eliminated from postseason contention.
