OLD SAYBROOK, CT - West Marine (Nasdaq: WMAR), the largest specialty retailer of boating supplies and accessories, holds its Grand Opening Celebration Thursday, April 12 –Sunday, April 15. Located at 1667 Boston Post Road in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, the store is over 25,000 square feet making it the largest West Marine in Connecticut.

The grand opening celebration kicked off on Thursday, April 12 at 8:00 a.m. with special deals, raffle prizes, high tech electronics demonstrations and tips from experts.

The celebration continues Friday and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m. and Sunday from 8:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m. including:

More than 155 high-tech electronics on display with demonstrations by Raymarine, Garmin, Simrad and Navico.
A boat show on-site featuring numerous Connecticut-area dealers, including the Boat Center, Louis Marine, BLP, Tow Boats US and Wilde Yachts.
Try it before you buy it with on-the-water demos at Saybrook Point Inn and Marina.
Experts to provide tips and tricks on how to maximize your boat’s performance and expand your fishing expertise.
Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP) with information on safe boating practices and life jacket fittings for kids.
