STAMFORD, CT - United Way of Western Connecticut is seeking applications for its annual Roberta K. Eichler Heart of Gold Scholarship. The scholarship recognizes seniors attending any Stamford high school (public or private) who have volunteered extensively in the Stamford community over the course of their high school careers.

This year, two outstanding seniors will each receive a $5,000 scholarship to support their continuing education. Students must be nominated by a school guidance counselor, staff from a local nonprofit, or a member of a local church or synagogue. Students are encouraged to work with nominators on their applications.

Applications are due by Friday, March 1th at 5 p.m. and all applications are to be completed online. The Roberta K. Eichler Heart of Gold Scholarship Applications can be found at United Way’s website: https://www.uwwesternct.org/heart-gold-scholarship-application

Scholarship winners will be announced at United Way’s annual Heart of Gold Award Dinner, which will be held this year on May 8, 2019 at the Loading Dock in Stamford.
