"Making the perfect pie is an art," said Master Chocolatier Fritz Knipschidlt, owner of Café Chocopologie in South Norwalk. "This is the time of year that everyone starts thinking about pies and baking. The holidays are coming, and thoughts turn to Thanksgiving and what to make for dessert to serve after the turkey."
Knipschildt will share his secrets of creating fabulous pies with a new twist, when he offers one of his intimate chef experiences at The Clarke Culinary Center at 64 South Main Street in Norwalk on Thursday, October 20th from 6-8PM.
"Fritz was named winner of Clarke's 2010 SoNo Chef Shoot Out," said Clarke's South Norwalk Showroom Manager Marco Barallon. "He is very serious about the creation of wonderful food and it is a pleasure to see him share his knowledge with guests at The Clarke Culinary Center."
One recent New Canaan guest remarked after Knipschildt's last class, "What a wonderful evening with Fritz…fun and so informative. I loved it! I always leave with gold nuggets of information."
According to Barallon, The Clarke Culinary Center offerings are unlike other culinary classes in Fairfield County. "We purposefully keep our demonstrations small, so that guests can see all the action up close and feel comfortable asking questions of the chefs.
"A Clarke Culinary Center experience is more like going to your favorite restaurant and having the chef prepare everything right at your table," continued Barallon, "all while you eat, drink and ask questions about how he or she prepared the food. It really is special."
The same will be true of "Fritz's Favorite Pies with a Twist." Pre-registration is required and can be done online at clarkeculinarycenter.com or by calling 800-842-5275, ext. 206.
