STAMFORD, CT - On Monday, January 30, the Stamford Family YMCA will host “Fine Food for a Cause,” a fundraising event featuring local chefs and honoring well-known restaurateur Joseph Bastianich and 2011 Miss America Teresa Scanlan. The event, which is part of the Y’s effort to raise awareness and funds to fight the local childhood obesity epidemic, will be emceed by Scott Wapner of CNBC’s “Fast Money Halftime Report.”
Food lovers will be treated to a feast of signature small plates from a dozen or more homegrown chefs, including those from:

Proceeds from the event will help fund a multi-purpose teaching kitchen, which will be used to deliver cooking skills and nutritional education to underserved local kids and families.
Fine Food for a Cause will take place at 203 Studios, which is located at 112 Southfield Avenue in Stamford. The event, which will begin at 6:30 p.m., includes the opportunity to participate in silent and live auctions.
The cost is $150 per person for general tickets and $250 per person for “Angel” VIP Access, with corporate sponsorships still available.
