For a weeknight change of pace, quality mother-daughter time, or a girlfriends’ night out, “A New Year, A New You!” at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Thursday, January 26, at 7:30 p.m. will help start the New Year right…for women of all ages. Gurus of positive thinking Kris Carr and Gabrielle Bernstein will enlighten the audience with their experiences and tips about everything from surviving cancer to a better way to diet and how to thrive within personal and business relationships. If New Year’s resolutions have fallen by the wayside, this dynamic duo’s Crazy Sexy Miracles Lecture will help get you back on track.
Dr. Robert Zembroski, “Dr. Z,” Director of the Darien Center for Integrative Medicine in Darien, CT, where patients receive holistic health care, will introduce the show. Lobby events that promote well-being begin at 6:30 p.m. and include make-up consultations by Adam Broderick Salon & Spa, fashions by Lyn Evans for Potpourri Designs, a juice bar and hors- d'oeuvre from Nature's Temptations, and cupcakes by Whole Food Lady Desserts, LLC (gluten free and 100% Natural Boutique Bakery).

Kris Carr is a New York Times best-selling author, motivational speaker and passionate wellness coach. Her message is one of living a full life as a cancer survivor. She is the author of the award-winning Crazy Sexy Cancer book series. She is the subject of the inspirational documentary, Crazy Sexy Cancer, which she wrote and directed for TLC. Recently featured in the New York Times Sunday Styles section as the next generation guru, motivational speaker, life coach and author, Gabrielle Bernstein reorganizes cluttered thoughts into a thriving state of mind based on her new book Spirit Junkie. She was just one year out of college when she co-founded the Women’s Entrepreneurial Network (WEN), a non-profit professional organization that connects female entrepreneurs.
